THREE FOR THE PRICE OF DONNE

Author Sidney Blumenthal, former confidant to President Clinton, wrote this excellent piece that shows rather forcefully how the past is prologue when it comes to Cheney, Bush, Gonzales, and matters of thugitude:

The three instances Blumenthal discusses - the excuse used to get Bush off jury duty; Cheney and Rumsfeld's '70's plotting, and Gonzales' recent unsworn double nothing-speak, are painting a picture of Bush as an island unto himself.
