BITING THE HAND THAT GREEDS

Once corporations start writing the laws, who can forgive them for merely trying to "enforce" them?

I cannot but feel great pity as it is whining on and harvesting mooning. After all, that $50 million it granted itself is now being - taken away by - another part of itself! Talk about your finger war (finger fucking war would be more like it).

But, as John Edwards said, "Hope is on the way." The (not-so) new Saudi King, King Abdullah, whom George Bush lovingly tongue raped amidst the purple orchids of the White House lawn last year, will be visiting us soon. And when this King, the Horsefucker Whisperer, meets with the President (once the President's chin is duly scrubbed to remove all evidence of the King's scrotum and other tell-tale signs of affection), no doubt His Eminence will tell Our Eminence that the Saudis are doing "everything they can" to lower the price of oil. The two men will then proceed to speak, and then kiss, in forked tongues.

Soon thereafter, gas prices will continue to rise, OPEC will declare that "it cannot do any more to increase oil production" (at the same time it is telling us that it has an unlimited supply of oil and that its refineries are not operating at maximum capacity), and prices will thus rise even further.

Bush will then seize the initiative to repeat his new meme: "America is addicted to oil," and will introduce legislation, ostensibly to cure this addiction, which in fact only worsens it. The legislation will be written under cloak of night, and Dick Cheney's fright, and suddenly, the "lost" $50 million will miraculously be given back to the oil companies.

Thus, Bush will get to say that he has demonstrated "fiscul responsibiluty" (by cutting the $50 million) AND that he is deeply committed to pursuing "energy inishutives" all in one breath. Why, I can just feel his pipes bursting already..
