PHIL KLINE THE SWINE

What's the matter with Kansas?

More than you could even imagine. The state's attorney general, Phil Kline (no, he's not Jewish, thankfully) is possibly the most rabid anti-abortion advocate to hold a public office in this country.

Let's see how the ultra-conservative Supreme Court has dealt with him:

1. Opinion dated January 24, 2006, from a Kansas District Court
Not Reported in P.3d, 2006 WL 237113 (Kan.Dist.Ct.)Only the Westlaw citation is currently available.
Kansas District Court, Third Judicial District,
Shawnee County.
STATE of Kansas, ex rel. Phill KLINE, Attorney General, Plaintiff,
v.
The Honorable Kathleen SEBELIUS, Governor of the State of Kansas, in her
official capacity, et al., Defendants.
No. 05-C-1050.
Jan. 24, 2006.
OK. The court here basically told Kline that he knows nothing about Supreme Court case law.
Kline is the highest-ranking attorney in the state of Kansas, by the way. By the way, "Sebelius" is Kate Sebelius, the governor of Kansas, and she is... a Democrat! Two Republican foamies bsaically cancelled each other out in the gubernatorial election, leaving her as the victor!

Opinion #2:
--- P.3d ----, 2006 WL 250239 (Kan.)
Only the Westlaw citation is currently available.
Supreme Court of Kansas.
ALPHA MEDICAL CLINIC and Beta Medical Clinic, Petitioners,
v.
Honorable Richard ANDERSON, Judge of the Third Judicial District, Shawnee
County, Kansas, and Phill Kline, Attorney General for the State of Kansas,
Respondents.
No. 93,383.
Feb. 3, 2006.

OK, now the Kansas Supreme Court is telling this worthy that he knows nothing about
Supreme Court law, and that he knows nothing about Kansas law, either.

Hey Phil - before you start preaching again about the "sanctity of life," try getting one.
